If you are looking for something to do during the cold winter months, make the turn onto 8 Progress Avenue, exit your car and enter the doors that will lead you to an afternoon of fun; you are now at Fun Fore All. Fun Fore All (FFA) has year-round attractions that everyone can enjoy. An arcade, bumper boats, bat-ting cages, go-karts and a rock wall are just some of the activities in which you can participate. Upon entering FFA, I saw a lot of younger children with their parents playing in the Ballocity play area: a huge jungle gym with plastic balls. After walking past the children shrieking with joyous laughter, I was amazed to see all of the arcade games and rides outside. “Putt-putt is a great place to take a girl on a date,” employee Nick Hoch said. Hoch has been working at FFA for around eight months. His job involves just about every-thing: registers, cooking, taking out the trash, playing with kids and washing dishes. The obvious question everyone is wondering, “is Fun Fore All really fun for all?” According to managers Elyse Janectic and Erica Marzock, it definitely is. “Anyone from 6 to 60 can come here and have a great time,” Janectic said. “We want everyone to come here to have fun.” Even though the rides are now all snow-covered, there is still plenty to do. FFA stays competitive with other businesses by offering weekly and monthly specials. For the month of January, 5 cent video games, $15 two-hour game passes and half-off ticket games were just some of their weekly offerings. One of the monthly events held Dec. 31 was a 2013 New Year’s Eve party, which, for the low price of $13.99, allowed for three hours of unlimited video games (ticket games excluded), Ballocity admission, face painting, a trivia contest, a food and drink buffet as well as many fun games and prizes. FFA uses a debit system making things a lot easier than most other places when it comes to payment. All you have to do is load the desired amount of money on a card and then go play. Not only does this allow you to keep track of how much money you have left, but you don’t have to lug around a bunch of tokens in your pocket. The Employees Janectic has been an employee of FFA for over eight years and loves her job. “The best part about my job is working with the kids and their families; the most difficult part is staying on top of and being aware of everything that is going on.” Marzock worked at FFA for six years, took a two-year break, and has now been back working for about four months. The most difficult part for Marzock is “getting back into FFA mode. I want to make sure I plan what will be the most fun for everyone who comes here.” Like Janectic, Marzocks favorite part is “watching families have a good time and knowing that I helped to make their day better.” The employees of FFA must be doing something right, for customers Julie Mickel and Tara Krepp, both mothers who bring their children to FFA often, have no complaints. “The kids have a really nice time and enjoy themselves. Plus, the prices are always great,” Mickel said. “My son can’t do too much now like the go-karts; he is too young. But what he can do he has a blast with,” Krepp said. “Its great that I am able to make a living off of what I love to do,” said Marzock. “I want everyone to leave here with a lasting impression of FFA, and to think ‘I can’t wait to come back!’” For more information on Fun Fore All and their weekly/monthly specials, visit: www.funforeall.net or call 724-779-1800.
