Beaver County shares election results

On Nov. 5, Beaver County residents voted for several officials to serve as their representatives in the government. Congressman Chris Deluzio secured another term as the 17th Congressional District representative. Politician Dave McCormick leads the race for the Pennsylvania Senate.

High school awards students of the month

At the Nov. 14 school board meeting, eight students were honored as the November students of the month. The theme was “respectful and kind.” Linea Probst (9), Jacob Ball (9), Ashlynn Wagner (10), Anthony Taddeo (10), Mackenzie Mohrbacher (11), Logan Ashbaugh (11), Kara Aland (12) and Dekota Roberts (12) received the awards.

High school awards Think Award recipient

Learning support teacher, Ms. Jessika Fontaine, was granted the THINK Award for the month of October. Her nomination was voted upon by the general student body. She received the award at the November 14 school board meeting. Madison Bailey (11) and Gabriel Marsh (11) presented Ms. Fontaine the THINK Award.

Upcoming Powder Puff football game

This year’s Powder-Puff game will be hosted by the Parent Advisory Council on Dec. 3, with a weather date of Dec. 6. There will be one game that will kickoff at 5:30 at Bulldog Stadium. There, the senior team will take on a team composed of students from grades nine through eleven. It is five dollars for all viewers and concessions will be available.

High school club fair

The club fair for high school students took place on Monday, Nov. 25. There, students explored and learned about the clubs offered and were given the opportunity to sign up. If any student was unable to attend or has any questions, please contact the guidance office.

Donald Trumps win 2024 presidential election

On Nov. 6, the Associated Press announced President-elect Donald Trump as the projected winner for the 2024 election. Trump flipped Pennsylvania in his favor, securing approximately 56,000 votes in Beaver County alone. He is expected to enter office in January of 2025.
