On Feb. 28, 2013, the current sophomores and juniors received their papers for scheduling. There are many changes being made in all departments other than math. All math courses offered this year will be available next year as well. There were a few changes made in both science and history departments. AP Chemistry will be brought back to the class list for the coming school year. In addition, the class of 2014 now has the option of taking AP Psychology as opposed to academic Psychology. AP US History will no longer be available as a junior year course. This means current sophomores can’t take this class until their senior year, leaving them with the choice of honors or academic Civics and Government. There were also new technology electives available to students. The new electives include App. Land, Introduction to Business, Home-Repair and several other courses. The reasoning behind all of these changes is to give students more options. With all of these classes, students are given a wider selection to choose a class that they might enjoy more than just a typical class. The new electives are being introduced into the schedule to help the students find classes that will help them acquire skills that they will need in the future.
