The 2012 Powder Puff Football game, an annual fundraiser for the Junior Class, took place on Nov. 14. The game consisted of high school girls creating teams and playing football according to their grade level. This year, the Freshman and Junior teams had to join forces because there were not enough players on the Junior team. There were two games total, each half lasting 25 minutes. To kick off the event, the Sophomores played the Freshmen and Junior team. This year, the Sophomores crushed the Freshmen and Junior team with a score of 22-6. “It felt great winning the first game because we lost the first game last year, “ Sophomore Tina Davis said. Because of their win, the Sophomores moved on to play the Seniors. “Playing against the Seniors was great,” Davis said, “I love the Seniors this year, and I’m close to them.” After 25 intense minutes in the second half, the Seniors came out victorious with a score of 18-6. The Sophomores put up a good fight, but the Seniors worked really well as a team. Senior Maddi Lewis and the Senior team watched the boy’s football team play every Friday, and by participating in the Powder Puff game they had the opportunity to do what the guys did all season.
